He is one of only a few surgeons in the Southeastern United States who is both board-certified and fellowship-trained in facial cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Coundouriotis graduated Suma Cum Laude from Duke University and was invited into Phi Beta Kappa.
He then enrolled in the Duke University School of Medicine for his Medical Degree.
His interest in the marvelous and intricate complexities of the head & neck area led Dr. Coundouriotis to pursue a career in the head and neck surgery specialty.
A facelift, or Rhytidectomy, addresses sagging tissue, deep lines and wrinkling in your mid-face, jowl and neck area.
The facelift has become one of the most popular cosmetic operations performed for the head and neck.
The goal of a facelift is to reposition the support structures and muscles that the skin rests upon, as well as to take up excess skin while re-suspending the nasolabial folds (the lines that run from your nose to the corners of your mouth), jowls and lax neck tissues.
A facelift is not meant to address fine lines or pigment changes in your skin, but to restore a youthful appearance to your face by reducing sagging cheeks, mid-cheek wrinkles, and to better define the jaw and neckline.
The Mini Lift. is a Minimally Invasive Facelift which can erase five to ten years from your face in just a few hours.
The Mini Lift a unique less invasive smaller facelift customized to address specific problems or targeted areas of the face.
Although a Mini Lift cannot give the same correction or dramatic results as a more traditional facelift with a larger area of dissection, the Mini Lift has many advantages.
The Mini Lift lifts sagging facial muscles and skin in the mid-lower part of the face and jawline and helps restore the more youthful contours in these areas of the face.
An eyelid surgery - also known as a blepharoplasty - is a procedure used to rejuvenate the appearance of the upper and lower eyelids.
Age and genetics can cause drooping, sagging, and excess folds around the eyes.
This can contribute to both cosmetic and visual complications, including a tired and aged appearance, as well as difficulty seeing.
Eye diseases like glaucoma, retinal detachment, and dry eye can inhibit eyelid surgery recovery.
Other medical conditions can increase the risk associated with the procedure, such as cardiovascular disease, thyroid diseases and diabetes.
Rhinoplasty is a procedure used to change the shape and proportion of the nose.
It has gradually grown in popularity over the past few decades and in 2012 was the third most common cosmetic surgery among women in America.
Many people pursue nose surgery in an effort to define or minimize certain characteristics, such as the nasal tip, the width of the bridge, nasal asymmetry, or humps and depressions visible along the nose profile.
Most often, these traits are a result of genetics.
However, some individuals require nose surgery to correct misshapen noses caused by injury or facial trauma.
