When Dr. Jay Fine opened his plastic surgery practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, he had a guiding philosophy: providing state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery combined with old-fashioned patient care. Dr. Fine's college education began at Long Island University, Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree and became a member of Rho Chi, the academic honor society for pharmaceutical students.
Dr. Fine received his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He went on to complete his residencies in general and plastic surgery at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Fine is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also served as past president of the Greater Miami Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Fine served in the U.S. Navy, where he was on active duty from 1971-1973 and rose to the rank of lieutenant commander.
