A graduate of the Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine, he completed his residency in dermatology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1984.

Volume loss results mostly from diminished fat and can be most evident in the eyelids and eyebrow area.
The only natural and everlasting method of restoring volume to the peri-orbital area (around the eyes) is to place fat in the areas where it has been lost.
