Dr. LeVan is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is an active member of the Aesthetic Society (also known as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), the world's leading professional organization of ABPS board-certified plastic surgeons. Dr. LeVan was born in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up in Skokie, Illinois.
She received a B.A. in biology and French from Washington University in St. Louis and studied for one year at Universit de Caen in Caen, France. She attended Rush Medical College in Chicago for her M.D. and completed her 5 year general surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and her 3 year plastic surgery training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C.
