A graduate of NJIT with a pre-med at Rutgers University, Dr. Patel went on to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) - New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Patel completed his Post-Doctoral training as Chief Resident in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) at UMDNJ.
He completed a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery accredited by the AAFPRS.
Dr. Patel is double board certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery as well as being a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
