As a 7 year old my late father, a surgeon took me to visit my relatives on Oahu. I immediately fell in love with Hawaiian family life. There were so many friends who we called aunties and uncles. With each passing visit I learned the philosophy of aloha; to be considerate and generous of heart. To understand that everyone appreciates being appreciated.

It has come true in part because of my friend and colleague Dr. Randall Juleff, medical director of the Vein Clinics of Hawaii. Dr Juleff and I did our surgical residency in Michigan together. He has invited me to bring our unique technique of cosmetic surgery completely under local anesthesia to his surgery center in Maui!
